This is the Steller’s Jay, such a beautiful bird! Fun fact of the day: Feathers from a blue bird aren’t actually blue! Same goes for most things in nature as blue pigment is rare. Their feathers refract the light, absorbing all colors except for blue.

Stanley Hotel. Snapped this photo right outside of the famous “Room 217” where Stephen King stayed and became inspired to write The Shining! 🚪🪓🤪 - Learned a lot of cool history about the Stanley Hotel, including the fact that Stephen King hates the movie so he filmed his own version more accurate to his novel, right in this hotel! I started watching it and it’s pretty dang spooky 👻
